On this episode of 3GT, the three guys welcome a fourth. Drew Gordon, Publications Director at Crown & Covenant Publications and a long-time ruling elder of Covenant Fellowship Reformed Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, joins 3GT to discuss his new book, The Elders of the People: Leadership in Christ’s Church, the latest release in the Grassmarket Press series.
In this interview, Drew calls us back to the Bible’s plain, clear, and practical picture of what good leaders are in the church and society. He shares anecdotes and stories of how he has seen that model work in today’s church—the encouraging and the difficult. He answers questions such as: What makes a good leader? How can you be a leader in your own context? What should everyday leadership look like in the local church? If you are interested in understanding Presbyterianism and the eldership, Drew’s book serves as a companion volume to his good friend and Grassmarket editor Kyle Borg’s book Household of Faith (see 3GT Episode 315).
With so many failures in leadership today, we need to return to the humble, servant-oriented model the Scriptures teach and Drew has exhibited for decades. So tune into this episode of 3GT to learn more, and you might also hear how you can win a free copy!
