Two of the guys are back on one of Argentina’s hottest podcasts with special guest, Rev. Stephen Steele (Stranraer RPC). After some banter about the recent substantial snowfall in the United States, and a helpful comment from Barry about the impossibility of snow having “zero moisture content”, the gents direct their conversation toward cooperative ministry efforts in the old country.
Rev. Stephen Steele introduces himself, and gives a brief geography lesson on Stranraer, Scotland. After his introduction to the physical lay of the land, Stephen gives listeners a spiritual tour of present-day Scotland and Stranraer. Kyle prompts Stephen to reflect on his own personal experience(s) stemming from this relatively dismal spiritual scene in contemporary Scotland. He then asks Stephen to tell listeners more about the particular congregation at Stranraer RPC, which leads to the mention of a noteworthy figure quite famous among Reformed Presbyterians! Kyle and Stephen explain the unique relationship between the congregations in Winchester, KS and Stranraer. The conversation then turns to details about the Stranraer Renewal Cooperative, where Stephen explains the correlation between bodies and bucks. Kyle asks Stephen to share with listeners some helpful ways that visitors are ministering to Stranraer during their extended stays in Scotland. The hosts also ask Stephen to state simply what this cooperative ministry effort is all about. Kyle sets the concept of church renewal over against church planting (not to diminish the latter in the least, of course). Stephen shares the particular, present, and immediate needs of Stranraer RPC. He encourages listeners to think about visiting Stranraer, perhaps even for a lengthy stay. Barry asks how Stephen is encouraging a spirit of prayer for Stranraer and for Scotland. Stephen shares some prayer requests with the hosts and audience. Kyle asks how people can find more information about the cooperative. Stephen points listeners to the church website and gives his final appeal to listeners. Kyle directs listeners to the church’s website and to email 3gt.xyz@gmail.com with any additional questions about the Stranraer Renewal Cooperative.
